Relaxation
The first Relaxation was mixed long ago, on a thirty minute cassette tape, early 1998. The concept has always been for it to be a journey into relaxing grooves and down tempo sounds, but mixed with all sorts of madness in between, ranging from crazy metallic distortions to native Indian chants and even rare africain-brazilian folk songs. There would always be darker moments in every edition as well, and abstractness being a key feature in every set.
The first Relaxation was actually saved a couple of years ago by my dear friend Oisin Kane. The tape was proper fucked, with nearly no hope of being saved from oblivion, but Oisin did some magic and the tape survived, being transferred to CD on the same day.
The most bizarre of the series was most definitely Relaxation 3, but it seems that one has been lost, although a couple of people are making considerable efforts looking for it in their old pile of cassette tapes. Hopefully that edition will be recovered, and as soon as that happens, it will be uploaded to the site.
