CREATIVENESS
Conformity is something that should be avoided, at least for those who desire to create any type of art form. Often we feel obligated to follow certain tendencies with fear that we might be excluded other wise. Consequently, many follow trends without even questioning themselves if there are not better options available.
Nowadays there are countless DJs that play in the exact same manner, the exact same records, and with the same bureaucratic way of mixing, taking no risks. It´s goodbye to originality, and hello to a cowardly conformity, and the result is a sad predictability. That´s how one can distinguish the copycat and his fraudulent mentality, from the real artist, the one who creates.
Creativity is a transgression in the way to perceive reality or to act. The creative process does not follow a linear path, because it´s always open for different and new possibilities, new changes, and constantly seeks to reinvent what has already been done. Otherwise we can not consider it creativity, but only the repetition of patterns that have been done before.
CRIATIVISMO
O conformismo é algo que deve ser evitado, pelo menos para quem tem a pretensão de criar. Frequentemente nos sentimos obrigados a seguir certas tendências com receio de ficar excluídos. Daí, muitos acabam seguindo modismos, sem questionar se há opções melhores.
Hoje em dia, sobram DJs que tocam da mesmíssima forma, os mesmos discos e com o mesmo jeito burocrático de mixar. Adeus à originalidade, e bem vindo a um conformismo covarde, que resulta numa triste previsibilidade. Assim se distinguem o copiador e sua mentalidade fraudulenta, do autentico artista.
A criatividade é uma transgressão na forma de olhar a realidade ou de agir. O pensamento criado não segue uma linearidade, pois é sempre aberto a diferentes possibilidades, novas mudanças, e procura constantemente a ruptura com o que já é conhecido. Caso contrario não podemos considerar isso criatividade, e sim a repetição de padrões.
